Highway 17 Detail Design Refinement – Moth Lake Access Plan (April 2010)

Moth Lake Fire Roads 37 – 40 property owners were sent notification regarding access changes as part of the Planning and Preliminary Design Study. Fire Roads 37 – 40 will be consolidated into a single at-grade illuminated median crossover intersection at Fire Road 39 as part of the highway improvements.

Design refinements have been made to the access road during Detail Design in response to comments received from property owners. Modifications to the road alignment and profile were made to better integrate with the local topographic and environmental conditions (while the basic concept and connection to the highway remains the same). The plan below supersedes the previous design documented in the Section 2 Transportation Environmental Study Report: From West of Gundy Lake Road to West of Rush Bay Road (10km) (November 2009).
